The candle is great and makes a whole room smell amazing. The scent fireside is a great scent and I reccomend this product to any one who loves candles. The shipping was very fast also.

WW candles are the clean and subtle

I purchased the Fireside scent and on a cold day, it is the best smell for the entire house. It burns clean (just keep the wick short like the instructions say -very easy) and a 10 oz jar is enough to fill up 2 rooms with a great wood-burning fireplace smell. It is a long-lasting candle and there is little to no smoke. I usually burn soy candles but this one is just as good. This brand is excellent!! Much better than the overpriced Yankee Candles. I recommend the Fireside scent and this brand for all the rooms in your house!!

Even Burning and Incredible Home-filling Aromas!

This product, Woodwick Candles, are incredible. Whatever smell you decide upon, it fills your home. The candle provides a nice fire-burning sound and burns evenly until it is gone. Now that we have bought one candle, we will not buy any others!

Won't Stay Lit

I bought three of these candles, giving two as gifts and keeping one for myself because the unlit fragrance was so delicious. I have tried to light my candle 50 different times and it wont light. Ive gotten a few brief spells of the burning ember effect, in which fragrance has been released, which is lovely, but I have never seen a flame on the wick (except when Ive been holding the lighter to it!). I went to the Woodwick website to see if they posted any tips (like the Circle E website. Circle E candles are great!!!), but they had nothing. So I might try to call customer service and then try pulling some wax back from the wick to see if that might help. Now I wonder about the other two candles I gave as gifts. I wont be buying any more of these.

All Around great candle

This is a wonderful candle. Rich, but not overpowering, scent that lingers even after you extinguish the flame. And the small "flame" sound is a lovely addition.

Ive NEVER had to trim the wick, and the flame doesnt smoke or become large. I have no idea how anyone could have problems operating this candle.

Long lifetime for the money

best candle ever

I have the fireside scent and use it with the gas logs fireplace. Almost as good as real logs. Well worth the cost.

Woodwick candle fizzles ... out

I had high hopes for this idea ... a crackling
fire candle.

How sad to discover that the sound is more like
the fizzle of an Alka Seltzer. I followed the
instructions to trim my new Woodwick candle to
1/8" but it would not stay lite unless the
candle was shaken by hand to keep wax on the wick.
When you stop shaking the candle the wood burns away and
the flame goes out. Your left with a glowing
orange ember on the end on the wick ... no flame.

Unique candle

This is a unique candle that sounds just like a campfire, great for fall and winter seasons. It is a wick-less candle that burns wood instead which produces a pleasant crackling sound. They smell absolutely wonderful and burn for a long time. Well worth the expense.

Excellent Candles!

I think this is my favorite all around scent - - Next to the Cinnamon Chai
I love the woodwick candles! The Cinnamon Chai is a very warm homey scent. Along with the crackle of the wood wick, it is very soothing and enjoyable. It burnt all the way to the sides and didnt smoke. Perfect!

wonderful product!

This item is exactly as described. The crackling sound is soothing and fun. It is also a very clean burning candle- despite the wood wick. I was delighted at how long it lasted! It burned all the way down to the bottom with no problems. Its so easy too to trim the wick- you can gently break it off with your finger to keep the length correct. And the fragrance is wonderful too- and it quickly fills the room. This particular fragrance is very nice and is kind of citrusy-forresty hearth like quality.

Overall one of the BEST PURCHASES IVE EVER MADE. I will be buying the bigger one this time. :)

Fireside wookwick candle

I have purchased a few of these candles for myself and gifts. They are unique, the crackling of the wood wick is fun and soothing on a Vermont winter night. You need to trim the wicks to prevent smoking, follow the directions. I love these candles!

Really neat

This is the coolest candle Ive ever seen. It really does smell like a fireplace. After Ive used it, left the house and come back, it still has a little smell as though we really do have a fireplace. The wood wick is really cool because it makes the flame wider, and it really does crackle like a fire (but its not super loud so it wont be annoying). This candle would make a great gift for a guy to!

Overall it is very nice. I am a little disappointed because the woodwick sticker keeps coming off the jar, because the jar is too small.

Reading the review above is not exactly going to give an accurate picture of this awesome candle. First, as with most candles, the wick needs to be trimmed to a length somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch. I usually keep it trimmed to about 1/4 and have never experienced a smoking problem, nor a high flame problem. Not sure about the wax sloshing issue -- I dont make a habit of picking up lighted candles.

This candle (not this particular scent, however) was a gift from a friend, and is absolutely our new favorite kind of candle. The scents are strong enough to fill up about 1600 sq. feet, but not so strong that it seems overpowering. The wood wick truly does crackle as if you have a small fire going, so its great for people that live in a part of the country where it just wont get cold enough to have a fire in the fireplace.

I **highly** recommend this candle. Im giving one to everyone I know for Christmas this year.

Over rated

Boy, I expected to really love this candle. The wood wick idea just sounded so great!

However, upon actually having one to burn a couple of things stand out.

First, the wick, being made of wood MUST be trimmed to the 1/8 inch that they recommend. Otherwise it smokes like crazy. And the flame can get pretty high....I mean house burning high.

Now in order to get a full melt pool AND keep the candle from burning down the house, you have to either trim the wick while it is still burning--or at the very least, while the wax is still molten. Otherwise, if you wait till the wax cools you will just have a tunnel.

What this means is that you almost invariably end up with bits of burned wood in your wax.

The other things is that a wick that is trimmed to 1/8 inch is way too easy to extinguish. Even picking it up to smell it can result in wax sloshing over the wick and drowning it.

Heck I even put it out by breathing on it...and this with a 1 inch flame.

Granted it throws a very pretty flame, has great cold and hot throw. Also the jar is rather pretty, although the shape lends itself to a lot of wax hangup on the top half where the glass tapers outward.

It does even have a fire crackling sound but no more than you would expect from small piece of wood such as what is in it.

I will never buy another woodwick candle.

Nice Candle!

This candle is exactly what the description says it is! The wood wick really crackles like your sitting next to a campfire! It really puts off a lot of light! I have mine sitting on the end table and while laying on the sofa bed with my eyes closed, you really feel like theres a campfire around. You can see the light flickering through your eyelids and hear the crackling like firewood! I will definitely be buying more of these candles in the future!!
